S Khan

Project Advice Worker

S Khan joined Seraphus in 2024 as a Project Advice Worker and is accredited as a Senior Caseworker under the Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme. She works alongside community groups, supporting legal clinics at Casa Latina and Kanlungan, and training on the EU Settlement Scheme with New Europeans. She has also supported the Scotland Migration Service (SMS).

Formerly a youth worker, S Khan worked primarily with young people who are refugees, migrants and seeking asylum, focussing largely on supporting them through the asylum and care systems. She has advocated for the abolition of age assessments, and supports grassroots projects in Birmingham.

She has an LLB in Law and Canadian Law, an MA in Postcolonial Studies and has completed the Bar Practice Training Course.

In her spare time, she reads and thinks about anti-colonial revolutions and liberation struggles.
